Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Red Poppy Kitchen collects when you use this website, why, and what control you have. It is written to be read, not to be skipped.
The short version
- We do not sell your data. Not to anyone, ever, in any form.
- We collect what you type into the enquiry form, so that we can reply to you.
- We measure which pages are useful, but only if you allow it. Decline the cookie banner and no analytics run at all.
- You can ask us to delete anything we hold about you.
What we collect
When you contact us
The enquiry form asks for your name and email address, and optionally your phone number, the date of your event, how many people, and whatever you choose to write in the message. We also record which service you selected.
We use this to reply to you and to plan the work. We keep it for as long as we are talking, and afterwards as a record of what was agreed. Ask us and we will delete it.
When you browse
If you allow it, Google Analytics records which pages you visit, roughly where in the world you are, and what kind of device you used. It does not tell us who you are. If you decline, these measurements never start.
Spam protection
The enquiry form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which looks at how the page was used in order to tell people apart from automated scripts. This runs on the contact page only, and is subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
Cookies and your choice
Analytics cookies are switched off by default. The banner you saw on arrival asks before anything is set, and ignoring it counts as declining. You can change your mind at any time:
Your choice is stored in your own browser, not on our servers. Clearing your browser data will make the banner appear again.
Who else is involved
We are a small kitchen, not a data company, and we use ordinary tools to run the business:
- Google Cloud hosts the website.
- Google Sheets stores enquiries and the menu.
- Google Analytics measures page visits, with your consent.
- Google reCAPTCHA keeps automated spam out of the form.
These providers process data on our behalf. Nobody buys it from us, because we do not sell it.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to catering@redpoppykitchen.com or call (646) 322-1439 and we will deal with it. We will not ask you why.
Depending on where you live you may have additional rights, including under the California Consumer Privacy Act or the UK and EU GDPR. The answer to "do you sell my personal information?" is no in every jurisdiction.
Children
This website is not aimed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top. Material changes will be obvious rather than quiet.
